Family Sunset

Inspired by this quote from the Persian poet Rumi, ” Let the beauty we love be the work we do.” Months ago my son asked me to paint his family on the beach at sunset. I didn’t feel like I had the technical skills to do it until I meditated on Rumi’s teachings. I love the beauty of my son’s family and I love the beauty of the sunset over the ocean, so let that beauty be what I do. I am amazed and how this painting came to life.
