Susanna Franek

Susanna is a multidisciplinary visual artist who has studied with Rassouli and been involved in the Fusionart movement for decades. Her work leans toward abstract expressionism, symbolism, and surrealism.

She has been on an inner journey of self-reflection and acceptance of the contradictions in her inner and outer worlds, both in life and in her artwork. She has a background in Middle Eastern dance and music, as well as fine arts & dance photography. Her current academic studies include an Interdisciplinary Master’s in Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies, Latin American Studies, and Art. She used zine-based artivism (art + activism) to amplify the voices of marginalized communities she has worked with as a cultural anthropologist.

Susanna lives in Madrid with her husband and is in the throes of pursuing a degree in art.
