What Is Heaven?

People come to Rassouli’s Playshops and Retreats from all walks of life, diverse backgrounds, and from all around the world. Some are accomplished artists and some, like me, had never painted before.

What is it that draws us together? We are all inspired and challenged to grow as artists under the mentorship of Master Artist Freydoon Rassouli. From one week to the next, Rassouli is consistently offering expert artists to study, new concepts to explore, and a community of Fusionartists that generously acknowledge the beauty and emotions conveyed in our brushstrokes.

Rassouli encourages us to reveal ourselves rather than copying an expert or trying to illustrate an event. We are challenged to become the concept and then paint. The collection of paintings here represent our different interpretations of two different concepts:1) Bringing our light to the darkness, and 2) Being Heaven. We have all seen paintings of what heaven might look like, but that is not the same as being heaven and then painting.
