Fall Playshop Background: We began with the story of creation from the religious myths and now moving into how the mystics see the story of creation. The conversations of the true mystics invite us into a deeper understanding of spirituality and existence. Mystics see the 6 days of creation and see that, on the 7th day, is the day Love comes into existence. God sees this Universe and sees how he/she has created him/herself outside of it. Before that the 6 days had no Love. Now, God decides to add himself to the Universe, as the Eternal light, as the essence within all that moves across the Universe. From here the tensions, wars, separations begin as man searches for the divine both outside and within themselves.
Rassouli’s suggestion, “On your canvas, reflect the journey through the mystic’s mind, the story of creation arriving at the 7th day, when God realizes his/her creations, and sees that in order to put the essence of God in all creation, divine Love must be within the essence of all creations.
